OUR BEGINNINGS

SpeakerCraft started in 1976 as an audio retailer. Along the way we became a custom installation company, installing multi-room audio systems.
We are now one of the world's leading manufacturers of custom installation products. We think of our background as a custom installer and retailer has given us a pretty good idea of what it is you want from a manufacturer.

                                                                                                                                                                                                 Our goal was to develop innovative designs utilizing some of the most state-of-the-art components and materials. Our efforts have earned us many industry awards for products that break tradition and go a step forward to bring you tomorrow's technology today.

For instance, we were the first to invent in-wall speaker installation systems that do not require installing brackets in the wall first. We have improved the in-ceiling round speaker by inventing a method to greatly improve the high frequency response with a device called the WavePlane™.

We were the first to produce pivoting tweeters and on some models the whole speaker pivots while still remaining flush with the ceiling. These innovations eliminate the placement concerns of in-wall and in-ceiling speakers.                  In-Ceiling Speakers

In-Wall Speakers

Creating a speaker that mounts flush in the wall while maintaining precision fidelity and performance required a great deal of engineering and expertise. We know, we invented the first in-wall speaker over twenty years ago. Since then SpeakerCraft has refined the concept and created the most extensive line of in-wall speakers available anywhere. From eight-inch three-way models with esoteric drivers that incorporate cones of aluminum/magnesium alloy and pivoting mid/tweeter modules, to audiophile quality line-arrays with multiple woofers and ribbon tweeters we can provide you with incomparable sound quality that essentially disappears into your décor. Subwoofers

Imagine your entire music collection at your fingertips. No more flipping through hundreds or thousands of CDs to find just the right one for the moment. With a SpeakerCraft music server you can import your music library to a dedicated hard-drive and access any disc or song in seconds.

Mode Jukebox Four
Having your entire music collection in one place and instantly available from any room in the house was once just a dream. Today, with the MODE Jukebox, that dream is a reality. Imagine having as many as 40,000 songs available at your fingertips at any one time. Organize them into different genres and play lists and you will truly be in control of your entire collection.

Multi-Zone Controllers

The MODE also controls and displays song information from the iPod®. The overwhelming acceptance of the iPod has made it the personal music server of choice. Now, utilizing a proprietary dock, owners can place their iPod in one location and access it throughout the home making the MODE the ultimate iPod accessory. At the same time users can display and select songs, artists, genres, and play lists as though they had the iPod in their hand. If the user has multiple iPods they can each be docked and designated as independent sources. Up to six different iPods could be accessed from any keypad in any room in the house. That means as many as 90,000 songs available at the push of a single button! With the additional ability to control and display XM radio, an AM/FM tuner and the MODE DJ music server, as well as controlling any component with infrared input, the MODE will make controlling your system as enjoyable as the entertainment it provides.

At the SpeakerCraft Technical Training Institute in Riverside, California, our engineers and A/V dealers teamed up to design the Big Bang line. We took our dealer's input seriously, then went to work making their wish list a reality (thanks for the help). The Big Bang series is a highly reliable line of ten amplifiers that offers a solution for every installation with a variety of power, performance and price points.
